Health, Safety & Emergency Support - Totalnannies.com

Medical Coverage for Au Pairs and Nannies

At Totalnannies.com, we prioritize the health and well-being of our candidates throughout their placement:

- EU candidates: All European Union candidates are required to have a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which provides access to necessary medical care across all EU and EEA countries.

- Non-EU Candidates or those placed outside the EU are fully covered by comprehensive private medical insurance, ensuring they receive prompt and appropriate healthcare wherever they are placed.

Car Use and Insurance Requirements

If a host family intends to allow their nanny to use a family car, it is essential to ensure that the  car insurance policy covers the candidate. Proper coverage is required before any use of a car is permitted.

What If...Unexpected illness or Accidents Occur?

In the event that a candidate becomes seriously ill or is injured in an accident, and-based on medical advice-is deemed unable to continue performing childcare responsibilities, Totalnannies.com will make every effort to provide a replacement candidate as soon as possible.

Please note:

- Minor, short-term illness such as colds or the flu may temporarly prevent a candidate from fulfilling their duties.

- In these cases, we ask that host families continue to pay the agreed salary during the recovery period, as these brief absences are a normal part of any working relationship.

24/7 Emergency Contact & Support

Every candidate is assigned a dedicated Post-Placement Coordinator who serves asa their primary point of contact during the placment. In case of an emergency:

- Candidates can call their coordinator at any time, day or night.

- If the assigned coordinator is unavailable, a member of our head office team will step in to assist and provide immediate support.

- Emergency contact number (evening & weekends):

+44 (0) 7971 950105.

We are committed to providing round-the-clock support for both candidates and host families to ensure a safe, smooth, and successful experience to all.
