EHIC for EU Nationals Travelling Within the EU

If you are a national of a EU (European Union) country and are travelling to another EU member state, you should apply for a European Health Insurance Card EHIC.  This card entitles you to receive state-provided medical care during your stay abroad, under the same conditions and at the same cost as residents of that country. The

- EHIC card is completely free of charge

If you are a UK national you are no longer entitled to the EHIC as the UK has now left the EU. However you can apply for the UK GHIC
