Job Description
| Assisi, Nr Perugia, North Italy. Summer position. Au-pair needed for family with two children, Francesca aged 15 & Giovanni aged 12. Religion: R/C. Both parents own a restaurant. The family speak English, French, German and of course Italian. They live in the historic centre of Assisi in a house on 3 floors and basement. On the ground floor there is the entrance, a double bedroom with a small terrace, a bathroom and games room. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, dining room and terrace. On the 2nd floor there is a loft extension with small terrace. In the basement there is a laundry room, storage room and toilet. Other help kept: a housekeeper for 6 hours a week for the heavy housework. Requirements: Ability to Cook/Non-Smoker or willing to smoke only outside/ Experience English Mother Tongue /Willing to do Housework. Use of internet given. 4 month placement. Accommodation: own private double bedroom on the ground floor with private bathroom and small terrace. It is also possible that the family will provide you with a private apartment in other road where they own some holiday apartments (this could especially happen in July as they will away form the 10th to the 20th July). You could have the option to stay in one of these apartments at this time or go travelling around Italy. Approx hrs of work: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Total daily hrs: 6. Duties: Generally look after the children, take them around town or to the outskirts of town (with public transport or with the family own transport). Help the children with their summer homework, get the children involved in different activities. Keep tidy (with the children's help) the children's belongings, hang out the washing, prepare lunch. Time off: 1 day (Thursday) including the evening and all other evenings. However it may happen that mum who looks after the children in the evenings may have to go to work up till 10.00/10.30 pm. Salary: € 150.00 p/w, net (around £ 131.00 p/w, at the current rate of exchange). Family's interests: During the summer the family like to go on excursions with the children as their day off is Thursday. During term time the family are available for the children for their school commitments and hobbies. The family go on holiday to the seaside and to cultural cities. They have a cat. Assisi is a lovely city in the Umbria region of Italy with lots of things to see and do and only 2 hours from Florence and Rome. There are other Au-Pairs working in the area. |
