I have worked as a live-in carer since February 2019 for a lovely lady who is 95 years old. I provide personal care, companionship and help with cleaning, cooking and general admin.
I am also a freelance writer and life coach. From 2016 to 2017 I worked as the English Coach to the CEO of an IT company in Leipzig, Germany.
Before that I worked in Weggis, Switzerland and Miami, Florida for a Russian family as a nanny for their two-year old daughter, and teaching the mother English. I absolutely LOVE working with children and my professional training was as a Speech and Drama teacher and have had a lot of experience teaching young children. I also worked as a governess for a family in California taking care of their three children. I have two beautiful nieces who can also give you glowing references! |

I worked for a family in Ojai, California (USA) for three months, taking care of their three children: Danny (5 years old, with autism); Justin (8 years old), and Cecily (10 years old). My primary duties included dressing, bathing, walking to school, tidying rooms, making lunch, driving them to activities, and playing with them. Live-in position.
Teaching contract Italy (2004)
I worked for a company called A.C.L.E on a six-month contract, as an actress and drama group facilitator. I toured Italy with two other performers, and our job was to improve the English skills of Italians aged 6 to 18. I was responsible for driving the vehicle for the duration of our contract, as well as daily performances, and facilitating drama workshops. Lived in hotels.
Teaching job South Africa (1998)
I worked at Woodmead High School as an English and Drama teacher. I taught Grade 10 - 12 high school students, aged 15 to 18. Most of the children were from high net worth families such as politicians and diplomats from countries such as Angola, Mocambique, and Botswana. The school closed down at the end of my contract, and became Heron Bridge.
Drama Teacher South Africa (1993 to 1995)
I worked as a part-time Drama Teacher on Saturdays for Chandra Parekh Drama School. It was my responsibility to devise lessons, and present them to children aged 5 – 18. They were predominantly Hindi and Muslim children in an area just outside of Johannesburg.
