Description of home and locality: Apartment in centre of Rome on metro line B The Area/House: We live in the Trieste area of Rome, which is residential whilst still in the centre of Rome. There are many transport links close to the house which include a metro station 10 mins to the house which takes you directly to the centre of Rome in about 20 mins. The area also has plenty of shops and language schools nearby. The apartment is very big – 220 sqm. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Duties: We require help with our 3 children. The Role: The candidate will need to help the mother with the daily routine of the children to help with busy periods i.e. breakfast, school drops, play dates, evening routine and bedtime. Babysitting will be required usually two times per week, if we require babysitting at the weekend we will give notice. The candidate will also need to be available to travel with the family during the summer months of July and August as the schools are closed in this period and we will travel a lot within Italy and possibly London. Character of the candidate: We require a very organized and tidy person – this is very important for us. A person with an eye for detail and above all someone who is fun and who naturally enjoys playing with children and has a lot of patience. Ideally the candidate should have knowledge of English and previous experience with young children and if possible babies also. The Routine July and August Our routine will be a little different over the months of July and August as we will be on holiday a lot of the time. We require someone who can travel with us and help wherever necessary i.e. at home, at the beach in the swimming pool. The days will be slightly longer and we may need additional babysitting whilst on holiday. September School begins in September and our normal routine will start: 7am – candidate has to be awake and ready to help with morning routine. Set alarm if necessary. 7.15 – children wake up, help dress the children 7.30 – help prepare breakfast and feed children 8-8.15 – mother leaves with the children to take to school. Candidate to look after baby whilst mother does school drop off. 9.30-10 – mother returns. 10-15.00 – free time for candidate 15.00 – candidate home to look after baby whilst mother picks up kids from school 16.00 Candidate plays with kids whilst mother prepares dinner 17.30-18.15 – help feed kids dinner 18.15-19.00 – play with kids whilst mother prepares for the evening 19.00 – help with children’s bath; change into pajamas, nighttime milk, and brush teeth 20.00 – story time with mum/dad 20.15 – all children asleep Candidate is then free for the evening – unless we require babysitting.

The Children: Amelia who is 5 in August, loves to play, she loves puzzles, drawing, reading, dancing and going to the playground. Olivia is 3 years old and is very active – she loves all physical activities, singing (she creates her own songs), role play games and playing with the computers. Sophia is 6 months old and just starting to play, she loves being around her sisters and her sisters love helping to take care of her.

Job Description

Rome, Italy. Au-pair for Anglo/Italian family with three children, Amelia aged 4, Oliva aged 3 & Sophia aged 6 months. Dad is a country manager, mum does not work. The family has recently moved to Rome. The family live in the Trieste area of Rome which is a residential area but still in the center. There are lots of transport links close to the family's home including the underground station which is 10 minutes from the family's home. Line B. This will take you directly to the heart of Rome in 20 minutes. The area also has lots of shops and language schools nearby. The family live in a large 220sqm apartment composed of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Accommodation: own private bedroom. Share a large bathroom with the children only. Wifi access in bedroom. Amelia loves to play and loves puzzles, drawing, reading, dancing and going to the playground. Olivia is very active and loves all physical activities, singing (she creates her own songs), role play games, and playing with computers. Look after Sophia whilst mum does school drop off. 9.30-10.00 am mum gets back home. 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. You are free during this time. 3.00 pm be back home by this time to look after Sophia whilst mum picks the older children up from school. 4.00 pm Play with the children whilst mum prepares dinner. 5.30-6.15 pm hep feed the kids dinner. 6.15-7.00 pm Play with the children whilst mum prepares for the evening. 7.00 pm help with the children's bath. Change the children into their pajamas, give them their night time milk and brush their teeth. 8.00 pm is story time with mum and dad. 8.15 pm all children are asleep. You are then free for the evening unless the family require babysitting. Other help kept: a housekeeper for 12 hours per week for the heavy housework. Requirements: Willing to do Housework. Use of internet given. 6 month placement. Total daily hrs: 6. Time off: 1 1/2 days including evenings and another 2 evenings off per week. You are asked to babysit for a maximum of 2 evenings a week. They also travel to London. Rome is the capital of Italy and is famous all round the world. There are lots of interesting sights to see and things to do. It is near the sea and lovely things to visit in the surrounding area are Naples, the Amalfi coast, Sorrento, the island of Capri, Vesuvius, Pompeii. There is a large international community. There are other candidates working in the area.
