Job Description
| Campiglia Marittima, Near Livorno, North Italy. Short Term Au-pair/Mother's Help needed for family with 1 child, Martina aged 5 1/2. Religion: R/C. Dad is in commerce, mum does not work. The family speak English and of course Italian. Requirements: Swimmer/Driver/Non-Smoker or willing to smoke only outside/English Mother Tongue/Experience. Use of car and internet given. 2 month placement. Total daily hrs: In May whilst Martina is still at nursery the hours would be 3 hours a day. She finishes nursery at 2.00 pm. From the 10th June when the nursery breaks up for the summer holiday the hours would be 6. Time off: 1 1/2 days including evenings and 3 evenings off per week. You are asked to babysit for a maximum of 2 evenings a week if the parents go out. Salary: € 150.00 per week in May and 250.00 p/w in June, net (around £ 126.00-£210.00 p/w, at the current rate of exchange), net. The family live 3kms from the centre in the countryside but near a small village so the house is not isolated. The beach is 3kms away. The family do not require any housework but they do require that you collaborate as a family member (for example, clearing the table after meals, washing up etc). Accommodation: Private self-contained, separate apartment below the family's apartment with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. Duties: The family's objective is to have a candidate who spends as much time as possible with Martina playing and speaking in English with her and doing various activities during the day. You will also need to keep your apartment clean. The apartment also has a washing machine so you will need to do your own ironing. Family's interests: During the period the family require a candidate they spend the day on the beach so they want you to be willing to spend as much time as possible on the beach. The family go on holiday on the Tirrenica coast between Pimbino and Follonica. The ideal candidate will be loving, willing, a home lover and easy going. A nice summer position ideal for a beach lover. Mum is also available to give structured Italian lessons to you if you would like them in the mornings for 1 1/2-2 hours per day. The course would be Berlitz and Inlingue. She has all the material. |
