The candidate will have a private bedroom with satellite TV,internet. However there is only one bathroom so it is shared. Weekends are free apart from Sunday evening unless otherwise agreed beforehand. Wednesday is also free. |

| Rome, Italy. Junior Nanny for single parent family with two children, Silvia aged 9 & Claudio aged 5. The children go to the same school which is a few minutes on foot from the family's home. School hours are: 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. YOu may sometimes be asked to go and pick the children up from school but the main need is looking after the children and babysitting from Monday to Thursday (excluding Wednesday)from 6.30 pm till when mum gets home from work, at around 1.00 am. Mum is separated. Her ex works in an office and she is a waitress. The family live in an apartment of approx 90sqm , 5 minutes on foot from Trastevere train station and 15 minutes from the underground B line and 20 minutes from the center of Rome. It is near the famous Porta Portese Sunday market, one of the oldest and most characteristic in Rome. It is well connected to the main University sites with all amenities. The apartment has only one bathroom. Accommodation: private furnished bedroom with satellite TV and internet. The bedroom has a large 6 doored wardrobe, a 3/4 double bed, a french window which leads onto a balcony which faces the courtyard and so is very quiet. Desk. Shared bathroom. Time off: Saturday including the evening, Sunday during the day, Wednesday including the evening. You are asked to work Sunday evening unless agreed by prior arrangement. Other help kept: a housekeeper for the heavy housework. Requirements: Ability to Cook/Swimmer/Driver/Experience/English Mother Tongue/Willing to do Housework. The family have a mixed race medium sized dog. 6 month placement. Approx hrs of work: 6.00 pm to midnight. Total daily hrs: 6. Duties: Help with English homework, English conversation, general child care, prepare the children supper, bath them and put them to bed. Evening babysitting. Rome is the capital of Italy and has lots of things to see and do. It is near the sea and there are lovely surrounding areas such as Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast, Capri, Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii. There is a large international community and other nannies working in the area. This is the ideal position for someone who wants a lot of free time to pursue other interests, such as studying or teaching as you are only required in the evenings. |
